7 months agoWhen in doubt, go get some meat on a stick @shenji_bbq You guys know I love my skewers, so I was so thrilled to discover a new BBQ gem in my neighborhood! @shenji_bbq is a new Northern Chinese BBQ restaurant with a huge selection of delicious bbq First of all, I like the wooden interior and the cozy vibe. I really appreciate the cool modem music that they play. I saw a lot of students and a fairly young crowd enjoying their bbq and having a good time •Spicy little crab(crayfish) •Cold noodles •BBQ steamed buns •Cheese corn kernels •BBQ lamb skewer •BBQ chicken wings •Spicy hot tripe •Beef short ribs I really enjoyed the crayfish that was uniquely presented in a shovel! The spicy level was perfect for me and I washed it down with a cold beer. I could easily eat the whole plate to myself They taste like mini lobsters with chewier texture and sweeter The lamb skewers and the beef short ribs were tender and seasoned well. I find the prices better than other Chinese bbq places. The bbq bun was bomb, my personal favourite and it’s a must try! The spicy hot tripe in the pot with the broth was another standout! It’s tender with a bit of chewiness. It doesn’t have a strong taste and it’s able to take on the spices and flavours from the broth. I would recommend the cold noodles as a refreshing dish to counter the spiciness and tasty flavours from the bbq meats We had a great time and I know we will be back again

7 months agoStaff are friendly and helpful. They are usually busy but willing to help when asked. It is quite expensive so I only go here once in a while, but it's always a nice treat. I always order the cold noodles, beef skewers, and bread skewers Also tried their new Grass Jelly Dessert, was pleasantly surprised with the unique taste. I would get it again :)

7 months agoAll the foods are delicious. Staffs is very friendly. Must order BBQ intestine, chicken heart, mini pork kidney, mini glutinous Ballin soup, Mung bean pasta. Homemade plum juice is so good! Over all had a really good time!

7 months agoAmex accepted, good service and the food cane quickly. Everything tasted good. If I had to choose only a few dishes, I'd stick to BBQ scallops and the kebabs.
